Steps for Placing an Order

With the introduction of our on-line store, ordering from The Leading Note within Canada and the U.S.A. is easier than ever! Please click here for information on customers outside of Canada or the U.S.A.

1. Assemble Your Order

  • Search or browse our on-line catalogue to find the products you want (can’t find something?) and click the Add To Cart button to put your order together.
  • When you’re ready to check out, click on the Shopping Cart icon to see your cart contents.
  • Input any Leading Note coupon that you may have.

2. Provide Your Shipping Information

  • Input your contact information and shipping address – or, if you already have an account, simply log in. If you would like your information to be stored for future orders, you will be given the option to set up an account with us at the end of the checkout process.
  • For local customers, there is also an option to pick your order up at the store.
  • Enter any special instructions for your order. If you have any special shipping requirements (e.g. rush shipping) see our Shipping page for instructions.

3. Pay For Your Order

  • To pay for your order on-line, you may use the secure PayPal Express Checkout. Note that you do not have to have a PayPal account set up in order to do this (although you will be given the option to set one up at the end of the process).
  • If you would prefer not to pay on-line, choose the Manual Payment option. You then have several options to make your payment:
    • send us an e-mail transfer (from within Canada only),
    • phone our toll-free number with your credit card information, or
    • send us a cheque or money order in the mail.
  • Organizations such as choirs, orchestras and schools may use the Manual Payment option to receive an invoice with 30-day dating.

4. Sit Back and Wait for Delivery – or – Pick Up Your Order

  • In addition to an automatically generated email sent in response to your online order, you will receive a separate email thanking you and letting you know the status of the individual titles.
  • If all titles are in stock, your order will either be shipped to you or be ready to pick up within 1 business day.
  • For items that are not currently in stock, you will be provided with information on expected delivery times (and kept updated with any unexpected delays).
