Parking Information

Beginning in January, 2019, the Elgin Street reconstruction project is going to make things a bit more challenging around here. However, throughout this project, care will be taken that all businesses will remain accessible. And the good news for our customers is that Gladstone Ave. (one small block from our store) will remain one of the few open intersections crossing Elgin St. Please see this map for directions on how to access the store.

Although parking on Elgin St. will not be available during this project, there will still be plenty of parking on the neighbouring streets. If you are arriving from the Queensway, either Metcalfe or Gladstone are good options (or Frank St. beside the store, which is now two-way and can be accessed from Metcalfe). Please refer to this map for the updated directionality and accessibility of the area streets. In general, there is metered parking within a block of Elgin, but if you are willing to walk a block or two, there are several streets that offer free parking for 1 or 2 hours. If you do use the metered parking, please be aware that the local parking officials are like hawks around here.

The city is also going to allow free parking at City Hall after 6:00 p.m. on weekdays and all day on weekends. An option is to take advantage of this on a Saturday and support the various businesses by taking a leisurely stroll down Elgin St. to our store.

It’s going to be an adventure!
