COVID-19 Update #2

The Leading Note will remain operational for our regular business hours (10:00 am – 5:00 pm Mon-Sat), but only to serve the following:

  • Pick up orders, and
  • Ship out orders.

Regrettably, in order to ensure the safety of both our employees and our customers, effective Thursday, March 19, we will be closing our doors to customers for the purpose of in-store browsing. However, all other aspects of our business will continue to operate as usual. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Customers with orders that are currently waiting to be picked up

We ask that you prepay for your order by either calling us with your credit card information or by sending an e-transfer to Then, there are a couple of different options for getting your order to you:

  • Schedule a pickup:
    • Please contact us to let us know when you plan to pick up your order.
    • We will make sure that your order is ready when you arrive: either placed in the lobby or delivered to your car at the front of our shop.
  • Have your order mailed to you:
    • Minimum shipping charges will apply.
    • Orders less than 500g will cost $6.00 and typically take a couple of days to arrive in the Ottawa area.
    • Orders over 500g, or those requiring a faster delivery, will cost a flat rate of $10.00 and will typically take one day within the Ottawa area.

Regular Customer Orders

Please take advantage of our website for your browsing purposes. And please note that we have recently put hundreds of titles on sale for 20%-50% off in order to reduce our inventory for the store move! Simply visit our Sale Guide and select your instrument to see these titles.

Make an order by using our online store, emailing us or giving us a call. We ask that all orders be prepaid and we can either ship the order out to you or arrange for a pickup at the store.
